Matt Reed
Matt is a tall handsome British transplant to the Philippines, is a professional dive instructor specializing in technical dive education and exploration. The typical alpha male, he is highly demanding of himself and others, sometimes driving his students and team-mates to tears in his pursuit of perfection. His 'off-work' laid back style morphs into a regimental and stern persona when it comes to dive exploration and training.
Since the start of his diving at a very early age, he has been tutored by and been diving with some of the pioneers of the technical diving genre. He understands all too well the risks involved with deep diving and overhead environments.
He is fearless and jumps at the chance to do those dives that most people wouldn’t touch with a barge pole. Passionate for finding new dive experiences, lately he can be found trekking through the Philippine jungles with his gear looking for one of the numerous underground cave systems. He has a nose for finding interesting dives.
Matt lives on the Philippines with his partner, Swedish Diving instructor Ulrika and their beautiful baby girl Lilja.
